Why not go to his place of residence and politely ask for the money? If everyone did that on the same day, i'm sure there would be no problem.

But, lets be realistic. There was no way that the government would ever assist a foriegner in Japan. Maybe in 30 years when the popualtion is 90% senile 70- year olds.

They should have taken some computers and other various pieces of office equipment with them going out the door. Ptolemy says get what you can, when you can, when it appears you are going to get nothing but a middle finger from Sahashi, the Nova "Union" and the J-gov.

This is just stupidity! What a joke of a system... Where are the people in this polite, caring and ethical nation when you need them? The masses will be needed to fix this one... an appeal wont happen when its coming from just two ex-NOVA teachers.

I wonder if he's being formally charged with anything else in relation to the implosion of his company and the misuse of corporate assets??? Anyone know??

I think it may be vigilante time again. Not only against the guy that did not pay his employees nor even give them a warning or a proper explanation, but even more so against the people that are trying to let him skate. They are obviously on the take, but the only justice they will ever face is vigilante, if even that. --Cirroc

Aside from doing the math... what's the Nova Unions position on this ? What a joke this whole story has been. Someone needs to re-investigate the whole incident. From METI deciding to shut down Nova, to this latest suit. The whole thing stinks !

I met this Sahashi guy once, real scumy type. I would not be surprised if he has yakuza connections helping him out in these times of need. By the way, where is BEGUNTO? The English teachers union not only for Nova, but for Berlitz etc...?
