Baby's body found in Saitama river

Police said Sunday that the body of a baby girl was found in a river in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture.

According to police, a man fishing in the river noticed the body at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday and notified police, TV Asahi reported. The man told police that at first, he thought it was a doll floating.

Police said the baby was naked and appeared to be several months old. She had been dead for a couple of days, police said, according to TV Asahi. There were no external signs of injury on the body, they added.

infanticide was common place a hundred years ago in Japan, Birth control wasn't practiced and people were starving but these days......... some social agency needs to step up and take some pro active action.

This is really sad. She did not get a chance to live life and be happy. I am really saddened by how someone can have the heart to do this to a little girl...that make that person NOT human in nature. Only God knows this person who commited this evil act. May He have mercy on their soul because I wouldn't.

Again? Yeah, you can defend this by saying it happens all over the world, but it still doesn't justify it. There seems to be a baby found floating in a river every month in Japan. There is a sickness here that people just ignore. Sad, but true!

J Govt needs to put commercials out there to tell these people where to go to leave their babies. Show a young pregnant woman then show her going into delivery after that show her and a crying baby then show her and the baby with the child being given to childcare services and her walking away. Show it 29 times a day. So these babies can live.

Real problems need to be sorted, but this type of thing gets brushed under the carpet.

Tonight on the news, we'll get treated to more headlining crap of a hot summer in summer (how unusual - sarcasm) and Hong Kong and Chinese protestors.

And maybe if we're lucky, a ten minute special on how eating a few extra grams of mushrooms a day can improve your fitness by 0.0001%.

The parents of this poor baby should be found and punished, no excuses about it. It's murder, plain and simple.
