They said on the news this morning that she rack-up about 5 billion yen, (5 million dollars) in all.
This women is pure evel and the death penalty is too good a punishment for her. But she deserves to live-out the rest of her hopefully long life treated in the same manner as Japanese death-row inmates. I would add no human interaction with the exception of medical treatment and isolated in a secluded facility on a small island off the northern Hokkaido coastline.

Wow these j cops still don't get it?? She killed most if not all those "husbands" with cyanide to collect insurance money on all of them. That's it! Why print anymore information about cyanide in potted plants. And how is there is a suspicion?

Would make a great Gothic horror. I wonder if any of the life insurance companies were the same; there are only so many of them.

5 billion yen is nearer to $50 million than $5 million.

She should be put in a cell with a black widow spider.

This woman is a perfect description of evil.Doing these kind of horrible things at her age makes one get the jitters..Targeting the financially viable old men to kill for their money..what a dementia praecox...In a nutshell she deserves "the rope".RIP to her victims.

Anybody remember "Johnny Dollar"? It was a half hour weekly radio show about an insurance adjuster reporting back to Hartford, Connecticut. This case would have been right up his alley.

Cops handle their cases very carefully, unlike naive civilians, who believe everything as they seem. There could be any possibility, and the cop's job is to prove them. That's what separates professionals from amateurs.

This news is very very surprised. I thought that a criminal of this case is her. Because, it is strange that her marry, and a husband dies immediately. So, she is absolutely a criminal. I think that it is evidence that she is a criminal that the person that she associated and a married person die in sequence. I hope this case is settled early.

Any scientists here care to enlighten me as to why there is traces of cyanide in the plants? Is it naturally occurring in them and she was using them to harvest it? Or had she just dumped some extra cyanide in there to try and dispose of it without a trace? How did the police track down these potted plants? This article leaves a bunch of questions unanswered as always.
