Who said that Japan is a safe country?

  • some14some at 04:19 PM JST - 8th May

antizombie: it was in distant past that the japanese used to say it a unique and safe country...now they say it is not unique and crimes happen anywhere in the world. feel sad for murders of innocent people regardless of nationality.

Not all that distant a past, but yeah, most Japanese are realizing that horrific crimes are not exclusive to non-Japanese countries. Still, statistically speaking, the number of violent crimes per capita in Japan is still far lower than in other industrialized nations.

Tragic for this girl and her family.

Condolences to this poor mother; the loss of a child has to be the biggest loses a parent can endure.

Moditors, what has that last sentence got to do with anything?

    That's so sad.

No one wants to think that their child has been murdered like that. I really feel for the Parents.

When they do an autopsy they will probably find that she was raped.

And the guy who did it, assuming the J-Cops ever figure it out, will probably get no more then 10 years in jail.

Who says it's a guy? It could be the mother the way crimes happen in japan.
