A 26-year-old man has been found dead in Yamanashi Prefecture, on Thursday, in an apparent suicide.

Police believe the man had stabbed his girlfriend Misato Makino, 26, to death in Tachikawa City, Tokyo. Her dead body was found by her parents, in the bedroom of her apartment, on Wednesday evening.

The man, who is yet to be named by police, was found dead of carbon monoxide suffocation inside his car. Police said he had been dead for 2 to 3 days.

According to police investigations, a note which read “I’m sorry for hurting you” was found in the man’s apartment.

So doesn't that imply the girl had also been dead for a few days when her body was found?

Wonder why the police held on to that information? I don't remember that information in the related story from yesterday.

Nope, just checked. Very precise about the time the poor girl was found by her parents but no indication that she'd been dead for a few days.

TV news reports mentioned that she had sent an e-mail to her parents saying she was visiting friends on Monday; guess that was actually the boyfriend trying to buy himself some time.

Wonder why he did it though...? Relationship problems, was he just crazy, or both? I guess we won't find out considering they're both dead.

Anyway, can't say I didn't see this coming after reading the story yesterday.

We have a saying in the U.S., What ever comes around goes around.. In this case it was a matter of time before he turned himself in or committed suicide.
