What's the big deal. Anyone who knows anything about how the world works knows that bribery is an accepted part of many countries and cultures. Some companies still do it in some shape or form even if their countries specifically forbid such acts. You either pay the bribe or you don't sell, simple as that.
Japan/EU/US should not offer bribes to enter into business in Latin america/South east asia.
Japan/EU/US needs to clean up business ethics everywhere, giving bribes makes latin american/asean only develop more corrupt values.
More corruption in latin america/asean makes them slow in developing and increases suffering via overall honesty atmosphere decrease in latin/asean business.

I agree, Raja, but when S. America sells drugs to those countries, the S. Americans and Aseanese say "if there were no market, we'd be out of business." You could say the same for bribe money going into S. America and Asean countries.
I won't be surprised if Bridgestone (Japan) says Bribes are for bridging distances and for building bonds between the nations....! and investigating authorities may have to apologize.
Bridgestone reported the matter to Japanese and U.S. authorities and established the investigation team to compile a report in three months, the company said in February.
Yeah, and I bet the "team of lawyers selected from outside the company" left no wine glass unturned, no bank account unscrutinized, to compile a completely unbiased report. Sure, and who is paying these lawyers for their time and efforts?

How much will it take for you to change your opinion, I wonder?
hardly a big surprise, Jpn is highly corrupt, dango bid rigging, slush funds galore, amakudari, KB, out & out bribes, etc etc, thats partly why Jpn is so damned expensive as well all have to pay for this crap & the false economies the govt wastes my taxes on.
So hardly suprising, & yes I know it happens elsewhere but few countries are so efficently corrupt as here in Jpn.
Thing is, paying bribes like this is against not only US and Japanese law, if companies want to do business, particularly in the US, then paying bribes elsewhere is very counterproductive. Not only that, my understanding is that its also against WTO rules, and governments that don't crack down on companies that engage in it, can be penalized for it.
"I`ve read that Japanese Government started to except money from foreign companies too."
Started to accept I think you mean? You should read up on the Lockheed scandal for starters. Maybe people commit bribery as it is the expected way of doing business. But it is hardly an honest waying of doing business nor legal. Eventually it will reflect on those societies in a very negative way.

The way to crack down on this is also to name the bribe recipients.

The global world business will stop, if people stop cheating/bribing.
