Oh WOW!! Some British Dude stole some whale meat!! lol Who the heck cares! Smack him on the hands and tell him to get this own whale meat, lol And instead of trying to chase this guy they should be worrying about Japan's suicidal society.
I am sure a Japanese court will agree that GP is an organized crime gang. They are also very cult-like, as they fail to apologise for their theft, but make many crazy excuse. Few Japanese people will support this crazy group. I heard they have received donations from just 6,000 crazy supporters in Japan.
See Greenpeace act and speak as if they are above the law.
Greenpeace are not a special investigation group with special powers. They are responsible to behave within Japan's laws, like other lawful citizens. An investigator said on TV that even such real investigators as himself must obtain special permits to obtain material as evidence, as standard procedure.
The Greenpeace organization did not do this.
As well, they also found no evidence of "embezzlement".
So finally, they are arrested for their crime, and police investigate to find Greenpeace's involvement in the crime as an organization. Their cult-leader in Japan, Mr. Hoshikawa said on the weekend that he approved their taking the whale meat. I think he will also be arrested soon.
Wow, great summary. You've obviously been reading the news as well.
I don't remember 'GreenPeace' the organization ever making any claims that they were a special investigation group. I do agree that it seems that individuals involved in GreenPeace may have been acting outside the law. It has yet to be proven that they acted unlawfully, only a court can determine that, so at this point it is pure speculation.
Making statements like 'their cult-leader in Japan...blah blah blah' proves that you are not interested in having an adult discussion about this topic. As I said before, your rhetoric is tiring and, I'll add, incredibly childish.
I do agree that it seems that individuals involved in GreenPeace may have been acting outside the law.
Good.
You do not think Greenpeace described as a cult group is fair. But to break the law and claim it should be acceptable, is typical behavior for a cult group.
A normal response is for appropriate person to take responsibity, as normal adult in society.
Mr. Hoshikawa did not. He is either crazy, or trying to hide his involvement in this scandal.

why does this article say they took or "seized" whale meat? its theft, pure and simple. let's call a spade a spade.

This proves that Greenpeace is an organized crime gang.
This organization will be brought to justice in Japan, I am quite certain.

i hope,
If one theft is what defines an 'organized crime gang' then the list would be miles long.
I agree with altria, the rhetoric is beyond tiring at this point.

It's now clear that the arrested Japanese were brainwashed puppets, acting under the orders of the leaders of the foreign-controlled Greenpeace cult.
There can be no other explanation for the irrational behaviour of the arrested Japanese, given the fact that all Japanese love to eat whale meat.
