Baby boy's body found at Kawasaki racetrack

KAWASAKI —

The body of an infant boy was discovered Monday afternoon at the practice ground of Kawasaki Racecourse, and police are currently investigating both the identity of the child to try and find out who abandoned him.

The body was found by a security guard, who saw what looked to be the leg of a child sticking out of the sand on the outside edge of the training area. The body, which is believed to have been less than one year old, showed no signs of external injuries.

The practice area is accessible to the public, and lies on the bank of the Tama River, about 1.5 kilometers north of Kawasaki Station.

Oh poor baby. Since they are referring to the boy as a "body" I would imagine that the little one is deceased? Rest in Peace little one.

So, if there are no missing persons reports matching this kid one would conclude it is yet another case of parental infanticide, sadly.

Less than one year old, probably not a new born then. It's quite possible that the ward office knows about this kid, they'll find the parent(s).

Let's promote communal life to inculcate social responsibility. Abandoning babies are done because nobody cares and nobody's watching.

What a very sad story. These situations should be a big wake up call for all politicians. The social structure that they are elected to manage is collapsing.Todays society doesn't care about all those people who have problems. What drives parents to do these things to their children, why are children committing suicide. Most people today are selfish, self centered, greedy, envious, with as long as it doesn't affect me who cares attitude. The community spirit, help your nieghbour, has dissapeared. not just the politicians,we all should take a look at ourselves.Because if we don't, this world is going to be a very place to live in.

I'm sure memyselfI was implying there are alternatives. However, I fear this poor little bugger was dead long before he was ditched at the racetrack. Probably just another one of these, "I got angry and just snapped" scenarios. Or possibly, "I was drunk."

That is a cruel and horrible thing to do to a baby. How could the person live with the guilt knowing what they've done ?.

'Woman such as this mother shouldn't have pleasure with sex, only after when pregnancy occur, is a formal disaster for unwanted child!'

'IS IT HARD FOR PEOPLE TO USE ALL MIGHTY CONDOMS?'

That's one of the dark sides of J-Society, folks...The typical "Shiyoganai" attitude that's killing thousands yearly, including children and babies. Of course, For some people here a Louis Vuitton bag is more valuable than a child's life. That's the way it is in the Materialistic & Selfish Japan of today.

Please acknowledge that I said "Some people" NOT everybody. Generalizations are unfair and unjust.
