can you imagine a world without cash? Think of the crime it would stop. It's not as if the technology is not available.

I wouldn't gamble on my life for 140,000 yen. The convenience store is insured.

Hmmm... I was just thinking about Sakado City and its proximity to Shin Rin Koen. Very strange.

Hope they catch the bad guy.

Prior to the “bubble burst” of 1995, crime in Japan was virtually nonexistent or at lease not reported as much. Japan was the model for all police agencies in the world to follow. As a matter of fact, police chiefs from New York, London and L.A. came to Japan to seek out how the JN police kept crime so low. Well, with the current economy and being on the brink of depression, the obvious has been revealed. Desperate people will commit desperate acts. Too bad the JN judicial system has not kept up with the more complex crimes of today.

This bastard should pick up someone in his age. Store owners should have a gun under the counter, and use it when is required. How such people can protect themselves from robberies’? Again it is an invitation for 'scumbags' to take an advantage for their own benefit. Perhaps this robber was also unemployed and need money for drugs and booze.
