YOKOHAMA —
A number of counterfeit banknotes were found in a dormitory room of Nippon Sport Science University in Yokohama earlier this month during a drug search conducted by the regional health and welfare bureau, police and university officials said Thursday. Fake 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 yen bills were discovered when the bureau’s substance control division searched the dormitory for the university’s athletics club members on March 2 on suspicion that a male student who lived there possessed marijuana, the officials said.
The student, who has since been expelled, and his roommate possessed the counterfeit notes, university officials said. No marijuana was found during the search, but a source close to the Inter-University Athletic Union of Kanto said the expelled student admitted during the university’s investigations that he had smoked marijuana.

Like I've always said, "a little weed in university, where lies the problem? Who didn't?" But counterfeit banknotes? Now we have a problem! The strings that come with those notes could be ugly…

Counterfeit money epidemic!

When you look for something important you always find something else. I wonder what is of more value: "Plant of God' or 'Counterfeit money?' It is a switch; from marijuana to fake money. I hope that this student didn't study LAW or MEDICINE. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO BUY A GOOD PRINTER AND PRINT YOUR OWN WAGES, TECHNOLOGY IS GREAT.

I wonder if the student will say that he got the forged notes from a foreigner

They are allowed to search on suspicion here? Tisk tisk, Not very nice. What if the police get an anonymous call that the PM is shacked up with a guy that smokes dope? Are they allowed to go in and free search for what ever they want?
nisegaijin at 06:56 PM JST - 26th March
whoa, wait a minute? was there a warrant for this search?

This guy had a good thing going. Looks like he was buying real pot with fake money. I'm gonna guess his dealer won't be too happy if he finds out.

technology is dreat indeed. i think the university did well by not covering up the student. they were ready to deal with the boy accordingly and they did not make the matter a private one. this is a tyle of instition evrybody should dream of attending and i want to study engineering in that scholl too.

they are going to find that guy in a trash can somewhere. and what's the deal with people admitting that they smoke weed. what's the point in admitting that...or anything for that matter?
funkyfresh at 03:16 AM JST - 27th March
