Wonder if that increase in Japan is a result of changes at the "Cyber Clean Center". I remember from past statistics, Japan was amongst the least bot infected countries.

It's sad when Cyber crooks are increasingly operating like successful business and seem to be getting more financially motivated. We see surges in attacks on legitimate websites increasing and all the new gadgets being attacked daily. The bad boys are innovating like crazy and security is never good enough. However in the Western world the collaboration between the law enforcement, industry, and government seems to work well except in some places likes China, Russia and certain parts of Eastern Europe. What's needed is probably a better, more creative long term strategic approach to whack the criminals and their partners where we can reach them. Hence people continue to get hurt emotionally and physically while money continues to get stolen.
