Elderly man stabs three at Fukuoka retirement home
FUKUOKA —
An elderly man at a retirement home in Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, was arrested for attempted murder Wednesday after he stabbed three other residents with a knife, police said.
According to police, Osamu Tomozoe, 69, stabbed three residents between the ages of 70 and 81 with a paring knife at their retirement home. The three were stabbed in the back and stomach, but did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
Tomozoe was quoted by police as saying that he stabbed the three with intent to kill because there had been trouble between them.

The Japanese news reports that one of the victims had her lung punctured, and is in a serious condition, so maybe not all okay. Interesting that two of the victims are women- I had assumed they would all be men. What a coward, to stab an 81-year-old woman.

How does a guy in a retirement home stab three people?! I mean after he stabbed the first person, wouldn't there be screams and someone coming to the rescue?

Having had to do a couple stints in the geriatric unit on our psyche ward a long time ago, I can tell you there are a LOT of nasty old men and WOMEN. Old nasty people do not mellow with age, they just get nastier and smell a lot worse. Be careful of your old people. Even had an old retired couple rent my 2nd home in the states and then tried to proceed to shake me down out of money. It was an eye-opener.
