    Geez... a whopping $3000! It's no wonder defamation and slander/lible are so popular here in Japan -- you can print or say out and out lies to sell a huge volume of copy, for political gain, or just for a laugh, and the penalty is nothing near what you get for the initial lies.

    Oh, great. I had no idea Japan's libel laws were ripe for this kind of abuse.

    This is just what the Scientologists are getting away with in England.

    And this is all the more troubling with the recent news that Soka Gakkai iteself has been slandering an ex-Koumeito chief in the press and stalking his family.

    So the Kung Fu cult of Death strikes again . . .
