Was teacher's pet male or female. Japanese teachers are not known to do favors for the sake of doing favors.

Wow the true stories I could tell you on this - definitely not limited to Japan. Private schools, even worse.

Wonder if the teacher is still working?

What's wrong with that. I was told to doctor them... "No one has ever failed Ora Communication!". I was told.

The former principal of a prefecture-run senior high school in Shizuoka Prefecture was arrested Friday on suspicion of ordering a report card to be doctored

This is one big difference between Japan and just about every other western & civilized country...

No one would be arrested for something as trivial as this...It wouldn't even be considered a crime... Of course if the university discovered the fraud, the student would be expelled, and not to mention, the principal would almost certainly lose his job, but it wouldn't be a crime...

What a waste of police time & resources, this about as big a waste as the bicycle police....

What a country....the expression, "a country of 12 years olds," comes to mind...
