Hackers are all kind of people, the same demographic as all of us. Some of them are even opinionated jerks! "The cyberattacks threatened to cause deep damage to Sony’s brand image" Love that quote, not that they deserve it at all. What about the damage done to their customers because they cut corners on security. Time after time this happens, banks, credit bureaus, credit cards. If you invest in security, you can achieve security.

LulzSec didn't steal the Sony 100 million accounts they only broke into Sony music Japan and released their internal databases, no one knows who did the big sony attack, these events were so close that people have started to merge them.

Look at Sony. They know that system now is rotten, and that rights of corporations are above human rights and private live.They can do everything they want and they won't be charged. But they will sue anybody who will try to resist. STOP SONY! STOP FBI! STOP US GOVERNMENT!

Since when sony products have rotten their image? Tell me a company that makes better products? The hackers did the bad thing, Sony just makes consumer products like everyone else. and they are all above average.

What the Hell are you talking about? Sony, FBI, the US ... this doesn't even make any sense. Sony makes stylish, high quality electronics and excellent PS3 equipment with a lot of free content as a service.

He used SQL injection to get the database, it is the simplest hack in the world, he has no skills, sony has no no skills either it seems.

He can't because he's one of those people who thinks it is a basic human right to disrupt another person's (or corporation's) business just for fun. Disruption of commerce was a crime long before there were personal computers, but some people just can't seem to grasp that concept. Ergo, Kretsinger's "human rights" MUST have been violated. (rollseyes) Sony doesn't need to sue anybody to get this prosecuted. It's a felony crime on the Federal law books.

Sony is the victim here, not this hacker.

The FBI is tasked with (amongst other things) investigating crimes that span state or national borders and have elements in the U.S. The FBI was doing exactly what they were mandated to do in investigating this crime. Only a criminal would seriously call for the FBI to stop doing this.

The U.S. government did nothing wrong in pursuing this prosecution. A crime was committed and at least one of the suspects resided in the U.S. and committeed his portion of the crime in the U.S. The U.S. government is perfectly in its rights to pursue a conviction based on applicable Federal laws.
