The other one was shot in the left side of the chest and it was not known if he was conscious, firefighters said.

Why is it always firefighters who do ambulance men's work? I never see the latter putting out fires.

Now time to go back to back to cracking down on Illegal Bicycle parking! Hear, no evil, see no evil, speak no evil.... Oh, there's an illegally parked bicycle!

Here's a novel idea... Instead of going back to doing nothing but harassing obasan's and salary-men on bicycle's, How about obtaining search warrants for every single member of this Inagawa-kai gang...? Maybe turn up some illegal guns...? Or are illegally parked bicycles more of a threat to public safety...?

Me thinks the J-Clown-Cops are worthless and they couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag.

mindovermatter: did you have any opinon about the story, or just wanted to go off on SA22C, who you refer to as kenn-chan? Not crazy about the guy, fine. Me too. but write about the article next time. For what it's worth, he has a point. Most illegal guns are sold/acquired via the North Korean mafia. Or so I've been told been japanese friends.

Ah yes, those pesky NRA goons, going around causing people to use guns in crimes... /sarcasm

When are people going to learn that guns=trouble.

When are hoplophobes going to learn that people=trouble? I've used a gun in self-defense. Guns aren't trouble, they're not evil, and they don't cause people to commit crimes they wouldn't have committed anyway. Guns are tools. They're inamimate objects. They can only be used at the direction of the user. Just like cars, capitalism, kitchen knives, the internet, rocks lying around on the ground, etc., etc.

They do mare harm in the hands of average joes than good.

Obviously, you're not aware of the 70,000 times a year guns are used in self-defense in the U.S. alone. The vast majority of the time without being fired, just pointed (like in my case).

Which are you more afraid of, an "average joe", or a violent criminal? Or do you see the violent criminal as a victim?

Here's an idea: Get rid of the threat, not the defense.
