    This sentence is screwy,

    They were convicted in the case of the victim whose strangled body was found in August 1967.

    On topic, if they are found to be not guilty, will the government bow and say 'Sorry' or give them a couple of yen for their time in prison?

    The sad thing is, things are done the same today in japan, beat the suspect, get confession, job done. goes to court, foregone conclusion. After all she/he confessed! Obviousry giruty.
