    There was no point in them going on - the system has decided and can not/ will not change it's mind.

    I am pretty sure it was a fit up - he wanted to change the way of doing business too fast and too radically

    Its true he broke the law...but there are many others that have broken the law that didnt get busted.

    He was targeted becuase he was different. He didnt follow the unwritten rules of "the Japanese way to do things".

    I agree, he was targeted and rightly so. I only wish that there were less suspended sentences and more jail time for all of these 'white collar' criminals. Until that happens we can just expect more of the same underhanded BS.

    He might have done business differently but he was also a publicity seeker. That is going to set him up as a "good example" in any country. The Japanese version of Martha Stewart, I guess.

    He'd have probably gotten away with it if he wasn't such a publicity hound.
