Hyogo Prefecture assistant inspector arrested for stalking

HYOGO —

A 59-year-old ex-assistant inspector in the Hyogo Prefecture Police Higasihnada Area Division was arrested Thursday on suspicion of violating stalker laws after a female acquaintance, 46, reported that he had repeatedly been following her and sending emails.

Police said they received complaints in February that the woman was often receiving persistent and unwanted emails from the suspect, Takashi Kuroki. After police began an investigation into the matter in March, Kuroki resigned for “personal reasons.”

On Wednesday, Kuroki allegedly circled the woman’s car with his own for about 10 minutes, reportedly out of resentment that she wouldn’t look favorably upon him. During the investigation, Kuroki said: “I followed her in my car, but I’m not romantically interested in her.”

Followed but not romantically interested... Hmm so he either wants to attack her or scare her... love the way people in power like to bully others. I foresee a suspended sentence and a job on a board of directors coming up...

He should have first arrested himself before resigning.

Obsession should be controlled, otherwise you will end as this poor man.

How can someone get up to this sort of behaviour as an employee of the Police department? Absurd. As for circling but no "romantic interest", wtf does that mean? That he just wants to rape her, not be her official stalker ? Messed up.

I did wonder about the mechanics of that, too. Maybe an empty (!) carpark?

IN HIS AGE HE NEED SOME FUN. YOUNG PEOPLE DO SO, WHY NOT ELDERLY. Don't you understand: Kuroki said: “I followed her in my car, but I’m not romantically interested in her.” He is in love. But this love will only last one night. Why police didn't take her complaints seriously back in February? Just as well this issue could even become another murder scene.

It is actually called "kimochi warui" unfortunately and such people should be able to control themselves otherwise there are institutions for them called "prison" or "mental clinic".
