If Mr. Ichihashi is so intent on a crash course diet program, why aren't the police helping him shed some of that excess weight? For starters, they could equip him with a nice custom-made set of ankle shackles to help him shape up those thighs of his. They might also consider a couple of 5kg wrist bracelets to let him tone up his arms and shoulders.
By the way, did I mention that I have no compassion at all for this guy.

His body is pretty well shaped from the physical labour he was doing. But i agree, he must do hard physical work all his life, working at a nuclear power station is one option.

Time to call in the team from Cinemagic. They have ways....

I think this guy needs a psychiatrist not police. i wonder if he is assigned a mental doctor to evaluate his mental state.
Apsara at 04:29 PM JST - 18th November
I don't think he needs a psychiatrist- I diagnose sulking. He's just massively annoyed that he was caught. So he's going to show everyone that he can still do what he wants by not talking and not eating.

Why would anyone want this guy working and a nuclear power plant? That makes absolutely no sense. I'm sure you meant, handling toxic waste or something like that, but if so. Power plant workers are exposed to about the same level of rads as you are just walking around in the sun. Certainly isn't dangerous or anything. Rather, its a great job. Safety, and attention to detail are stressed there.
Regarding this guy and his diet plan. Let him starve himself to death. That works for me. The world will be a better place.

My guess is he's following legal advice picked up along the way. The one sure-fire way to have the Japanese police spinning in circles is to not confess - the system here has very little regard for circumstantial evidence. I'd be curious what kind of case they can actually put together (given the limitations of the system) if he never admits anything. Sad, and hopefully not the end result.

LoveUSA - "I think the person who interrogates him should be a foreign woman. Then Ichihashi will talk"
Are you volunteering?

I agree with timorborder too....and as a punishment let him star in love dramas for his fans until the end of his days.

Himajin (02:46 PM JST - 18th November), that's quite interesting information. I had figured it would be something along the lines of a Beauty and the Beast syndrome of sorts and I see it's mentioned in your list. It's truly perplexing as to why would someone fantasize and even describe a killer with words of appreciation, as if idolizing the killer's every feature. Thanks for your post, I think it explains a lot.

Is this guy going to walk?
LoveUSA at 09:40 PM JST - 19th November
No, just brain-storming.
the police are losing their cool. They told ichihashi that if he does not cooperate he is not going out of prison and death penalty is possibility too.
fleetwood77 at 01:23 AM JST - 20th November
He's not dumb anyway - the stupidest thing you can do if you are arrested is to answer any questions other than your name - any lawyer will tell you that.
Himajin at 08:25 AM JST - 20th November
You're welcome, Azreal.
