Another textbook case of saying gomenasai for what I have done. I didn’t really mean the things I texted her. It was only a joke. People in power will get the sentenced suspended. This story sounds very similar to one a few months back with a J-cop doing the same thing.

if he is dismissed , does that mean he doesn`t keep his bonuses??? usuaslly they resign so that they can keep ALL the monies coming to them.

Actually, the guy DID try to resign but was told he could not. So not only does he get to keep his bonuses, he got the pay for the months that he was not allowed to resign. Now these guys are just trying to save face after all the flack they got from letting the guy stay on. And yes, I believe he still gets to keep his bonuses, as well as not going to prison, and he'll likely be hired again soon or get a City Office job.

To me this is not a surprise when reading such articles. Justice system is not very efficient in Japan because of such judges. I wonder if there will be any Female jurors with mobile phones next year in May, when the new jury system is starting. All female jurors should have their mobile phones with them and switched on at all the time.
