Re-reading this reminds me of the 1980's when the Japanese car makers used their cartels in unfair business practices in the US to win market share just like JAL did. The arrogance is a amazing. Now the US gov will be watching everything JAL does for the next few years. And with fuel crunch in full swing they don't need more fines and bad publicity.
