the ultimate irony...japan secretly, and illegally, sends the pumps to NK, which then turns around and lobs missles at japan (ok, OVER japan, but its just a matter of time til they get their aim corrected)
Strange...Jpeople supplying tools and technology for nuclear facilities to NK and then expressing fear and asking not to remove NK from list of terror countries.
What's even stranger is the fact that not a single Japanese authoritarian...oops, I meant 'official'...considers the fact that the company could have sold those pumps elsewhere, and the buyer then sold them to North Korea!
Actually nothing strange at all. It's like those weapons and capability to produce weapons and technology that were sold or somehow ended up with the very people that are called "terrorists" today (iraq, iran, to name just a few). Happens all the time folks.
"Happens all the time folks", what a terrible thing to say, but words like this just pop out "... all the time folks".
I think what rjd seems to be wanting to say is here, "Hey guys, these nuclears bombs and stuff are a part of life, so we all need to understand and accept this. We don't need to worry as is .... happens all the time folks".
Once again some very strange thinking. As several people have pointed out the irony of the situation, people are afraid of NK so they build spy satellites to look in on them, take all sorts of economic and military measures to help shore up their own security but then fail to prevent parts for nuclear being sent from THEIR own country. But it happens all the time I guess folks...
Back in the 1980s we had congressmen and senators smashing Toshiba TV sets and Toyota cars with sledgehammers on Capitol Hill. Now nobody seems to notice this kind of things going on, probably because the North Koreans had also some US-made equipment up there...

Of course this is no surprise, not like Japans the only nation motivated by the almighty dollar.

Just like the old days with Japan's breaches of the comecon regulations.
