    Rio, I think Cambodian police are either as inept or on the take. Cambodia has one of the worst child prostitution problems in the world potentially even worse than Thailand. Whatever the case they can lock him up but he is unfortunately just one of many.

    It is so sad to read the stories about deviant people. I recently visited Sihanoukville and enjoyed the culture. A lot of the foriegn males visiting there have some serious problems with there own self esteem. Some had told me they live thier dream life to or three times a year. If I was a spiteful person, I would wish the same treatment they give the locals to their children. That would be an eye-opener for them to go home too. But since I am not spiteful, I can only hope the children who have not been tainted continue to live a better life, and the children that have been abused find a way to enter the state funded programs to get them away from the street life.

    As far as what usaexpat said, probably the police are on the take as with any third world country, but it must be nice to be here in Japan and know all the police are on the up and up.

    martyman, probably applies everywhere that there are bad cops. I was simply countering a Japan bash (inept J cops) with the fact that while it's good the Cambodians caught this guy it's also rare.
