I would like to think this rotten piece of trash spends at least 30 years behind bars, but he'll likely only get half that.

At 22, the prospect of this guy getting out of prison at still a relatively young age does not seem fair to the victim. Hanging the SOB is the only way Masaki Takahashi gets any justice.

Maybe that "voice" will keep him company in his cell -- for the rest of his life. Although, I would not disagree one bit if he got the death penalty.

He will spend the rest of his life behind bars. Once he serves his civilian sentence (if ever) he will then have to face the military justice system. The military still gives sentences with the addendum of "hard labor", which they do almost invariably.

Also take into account that he is a naturalised citizen. This can have very deep implications on his US citizenship status as well.
