It is sad to read such story. In her age she didn't deserve such death, and cops in Brazil are much slower than in Japan to apprehend the killer. There are few Brazilians in Japan that we all read a story few days back, and everyone should be aware what they could face if they visit Brazil. Brazilians have also big problem with drugs, and the long fight is on for a very long time. Those addicts will do anything to get money for drugs.

Depending on the case, they can be pretty fast too. And from what I've been reading here, japanese cops aren't the most agile in the world. So you can't just generalize.

And drugs aren't a big problem in Brazil only. I've lived more than 10 years in Rio and over 15 in Sao Paulo and never was robbed or suffered any kind of violence. Just so you know that Brazil is not a wild land like most think.
