Jewelry store robbed in Osaka Pref city

OSAKA —

Police said Monday that precious gems were stolen from a jewelry store in Kadoma, Osaka Prefecture, sometime early Saturday morning. It was the second time the store had been robbed in five months.

Police said they responded to an alarm at the store five minutes after it went off at about 5:20 a.m., but the thief or thieves had already gone with gems valued at around 10 million yen, TV Asahi reported.

According to police, the thief or thieves opened the security shutter, entered the shop and broke the showcase glass. Store management said they have a security camera, but that it was down for maintenance at the time of the robbery, TV Asahi reported.

In the August heist, the store lost around 28 million yen worth of jewelry. Tha thief is still at large.

These types of crimes are on the rise. High unemployment and no jobs. Expect this sort of stuff more and more now folks. Keep ya doors locked all times and say goodbye to the safe old Japan.

Im gonna have to agree with ya southsaki. Expect what happened to Canada/US in the early 90s to happen to j land. A lot of break ins, thefts, and fraud!

before it happens third time, i would suggest to hire the services of ALSOK or SECOM (!) But, nothing works if it's an inside job or insurance scam.
