Little bit, by little bit. Release bits of meaningless information and keep the story in the headlines. The same old, same old from the National Police Agency. This usually occurs just before the cops raise their hands (and think about giving up) due to lack of evidence. It appears the POLIS have a blood trail, but no dogs suitable to running down a scent. Perhaps it is time that the NPA get off their collective axse and invest in some bloodhounds.

timorborder: next step next week, police will be distributing vivid sketch of the culprit.

That is why I asked the question.

I'll help the cops with the next bit of big news about the case: 'The killer has probably commited suicide in the mountains'

"Cops find three year old corpse in mountains linked to brutal Tokyo murder of ex health and pension minister and wife"

I hope the Keystones find this nut.

On the morning news they had news footage of the chalked out foot prints of the suspect. The camera was low and running along the trail. I could not believe that the media is allowed to pretty much disturb the crime scene only a day after the crime took place. Unbelievable.

The attacks are suspected to be linked with grudges over the country’s pension fiasco that broke out last year, because both Yamaguchi and Yoshihara once served as head of the former Health and Welfare Ministry’s Pension Bureau and also as vice health and welfare minister, according to investigative sources.

Not my preferred method of protest, but it is amazing how the Japanese have taken that without violence until now.

A whole lot of people were simply robbed of their pensions because some monkey doing the payroll made a mathematical error or other such nonsense. One part of me says this not the way to this, but another says, its about time.

All sympathy to the wives though. I cannot see how they deserved to be attacked.

Agreed. The Japanese have kept their heads down about this. No idea why. Other countries would errupt in violence over this. Of course, the Japanese are sheep and probably think it won't happen to them...

Suspect must be thirsty for blood. Is he related to 'Vampire?' Why not send him on peace keeping mission. What are cops doing? Every day we read this and that, and no action. By now whoever is should be behind the bars. ‘PUBLIC WANT ACTION NOT BLOODS!’

    This is a public annoucement:

"Please turn yourself in at the nearest police box. Thank you!"

I'm worried about freedom of speech. Some persons seem to want to control criticism of the health ministry's faults. Mr. Okuda said the Toyota doesn't want to be a sponsor of a program that criticizes the health ministry. Some TV stations fear.

No vampire, a mentally deranged human individual with the resolution to kill. Get that guy sooner than later.

  • Samuraiiki at 08:58 PM JST - 20th November

I am surprised something worse did not happen before because of the many people that became destitute because of the pension fiasco. Imagine you worked all your life and they tell you that you have no record of payments and they will not even help you.

BBleo: who told you there is no action of course there is..you just don't know!..anyway, as you said the killer maybe thirsty for blood yeah right. maybe he saw the twilight movie too!lol
