Police on Monday arrested a man after he entered the grounds of a school in Moriyama, Shiga Prefecture, and brandished a knife.
According to police, the man, identified as Tsuyoshi Nagamine, 45, entered Moriyama Minami Junior High School at around 8:30 a.m., TBS reported. The man approached a teacher and demanded to see a certain student and also asked for the student's phone number. When the teacher refused, the man unwrapped a towel and produced a knife.
Nagamine was quickly restrained by police who were already on the scene. A police spokesman was quoted by TBS as saying that they had earlier received a call from a man saying that he was going to the school with a knife. Police said Nagamine was drunk at the time of his arrest.
Nobody was injured during the incident.

The fact that he called the police and told them what he was going to do says that he wanted to be caught and possibly go to jail. Maybe it was all of those stories about the lunches they serve in the local police stations.

Maybe that kid was bullying his kid. No need for a knife though, a good old fashioned blackjack and knowledge of normal routes would be sufficient. A knife at a school in the am is just crazy
