    ...he was acquitted of the murder by Japan’s Supreme Court in March 2003.

    So what, Japan is disneyland for Japanese murderers, kidnappers etc. (this case or Fujimori and more) He is lucky to be foreigner in Saipan or US. If it happened to foreigner in Japan there wouldn`t be even media coverage and discussions. Jail and it would be over, case closed.
