Man arrested after 4-hour hostage standoff in ex-girlfriend's apartment
Police on Monday evening arrested a 33-year-old unemployed man for barricading himself with the 2-year-old son of his 40-year-old ex-girlfriend as a hostage at her apartment in Nishinari, Osaka. Nobody was injured, police said. Shoichi Murayoshi was arrested by police after a four-hour standoff.
According to police investigations, Murayoshi, who was drunk, broke the window of the apartment and climbed in around 4:40 p.m. As his ex-girlfriend was calling police, Murayoshi grabbed the boy and went into another room.
Police said Murayoshi has lived with them at the apartment since November but the two recently broke up. Murayoshi was quoted by police as saying, “I just wanted to talk with her but she refused to meet me.”
The woman had already consulted police about being stalked by Murayoshi.

That's a good way to meet women, break into their apartments and take their children hostage.

What counseling? She dumped the fool and he couldn't deal, so he got drunk and did something stupid.

Sounds like he was looking for a mother to take care of him. Failing that, he found someone else's mother. Grow up boy. Grow up, get a job, move out on your own and man up.

OgieDoggie, it's not just the last two weeks. seems a lot of these j-dudes are getting hooked up with the older ladies. Not sure what the deal is here, but kind of interesting nonetheless, ne?
