dr_jones Why would a dad do such a thing. Dadz touching their daugther`s body in the middle of the road , setting her clothes right is a different thing. A middle aged man molesting a girl of age 8, sexually, is a complete different scenario. whatever that junior high school student did was very right.

Here we go! Feel free to imagine whatever you like. After all, the article is leading us there as best they can, without actually fibbing or assuming anything without evidence.

"I found it remarkable that parents take the safety of their children so loosely and won't bother to see that they reach their destination safely."
Back in the 50s and 60s we were much the same. Japanese society is changing. Used to be Ozzie and Harriet in an oriental way. Now it's got all the same problems as any modern society, including the guys who are completely warped. Sad.
Good for the other student and the cop who put 2+2 together.

good for the junior highschool student possibly prevented something much more serious.

Innocent until proven guilty. I see no evidence, let alone proof, against this man.
Good_Jorb at 03:41 AM JST - 21st February
The girl being in his house is enough to prove he abducted her.
TokyoHustla at 03:45 AM JST - 21st February
But do you have proof? I have not seen the girl there. I have not seen proof that she was in his house. With no proof, the claims are fake.

Major relief in seeing this outcome. Hooray for that JrHigh girl.

good job cops. Is it just me or are they getting better?
stormcrow at 10:48 AM JST - 21st February
Another problem in regard to this issue is that usually Japanese homes have walls all around them, and this makes it very difficult to see what's happening on the streets, and this would advantageous to predators who don't want to be seen or caught.

bobbafett "good job cops. Is it just me or are they getting better?" Agreed! It's not just you... They seem to be on the ball these days.

the police found the girl in his house. caught red handed probably with his pants down already. i wouldnt say its good police work on part of the cops. Its good social responsibility on part of the high-schooler who called the cops. After something innapropriate has been reported even Inspector Clouseau, Barney Fife or Mr. Magoo can catch the bad guys.
