TOKYO —
Police on Monday arrested a man on suspicion of murdering his girlfriend at her apartment in Tokyo’s Nakano Ward. Police said they received a call from a man who said that he had killed his girlfriend around 11 p.m. on Sunday.
When the police officers arrived at the apartment, the 32-year-old resident, Eri Isohata, was lying flat on her back, with strangulation marks on her neck. The suspect, Takeshi Kuwabara, 30, was taken in for questioning, and was charged with murder Monday morning, police said.
Police said Kuwabara has admitted to the murder and said that the victim was his girlfriend but has provided no motive for the crime.

I know. Its just so stupid to kill people. But its even stupider to kill without any reason, then call the police and tell them you did it.

At least most Japanese here, despite the fact that this guy has murdered someone, feel the need to confess when doing something wrong. Most westerners would do a runner and try their best to avoid arrest. So this guy is stupid for killing that poor girl, but not stupid for the honest confession to the police.

This is one of the cases when police are 100% sure who did the crime. Another thing is what made him do that, I think he snapped but crime is a crime and long stay in prison awaits him.

Killing a fellow human being would be a fairly full on experience. People who do it strike me as people we do not want around in our society................

noypikan.... The S or M type is more a personality thing in the relationship (and somewhat in bed). It's along the lines of who is dominant and who is submissive. It does not directly mean the Western version of S&M. But, nice to know that your mind is in the gutter, too.

yes, it seems his feelings for her were certainly stronger than she could bear

Why wait until after you've done the deed? Why couldn't he have called the police before he killed her?
The Tokyo police need to hire a suitable tarento to promote a "Call before you Kill" campaign.
