Police in Tokyo's Kita Ward have arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of assaulting a teenage girl in June.

According to police, the incident occurred on the morning of June 24, Fuji Tv reported. Police said Satsuki Nakamura, an employee of a restaurant, is suspected of walking up behind the girl, covering her mouth with his hand, shoving her to the ground and then squeezing her breasts.

The girl suffered a slight injury to her neck.

Police said Nakamura was seen on street surveillance camera footage at a nearby train station at various times, walking behind girls as they shopped.

Yet another creepy predator! How can Japan weed these creeps out of its society?

Yet another creepy predator! How can Japan weed these creeps out of its society?

Good question, one that no society anywhere, ever, has managed to solve.

One word: pre-cogs!

Once Japan can find some of these, it can set up a pre-crime unit. And then all they need to do is recruit Tom Cruise to arrest the bad guys before they commit the crimes that they will commit in the future.

June 24th? That was a long time ago. Does it take them that long to review footage to trace people? Ohwell, they got him.

this is the trouble with the CSI mindset. it can take quite a long time to review hundreds of hours of video footage taken from various stores.

"walking up behind the girl, covering her mouth with his hand, shoving her to the ground and then squeezing her breasts..."

So now the only question is HOW MANY TIMES has he done this before??? ;-)

All things considered, could have been much worse. In the U.S., guys don't stop at squeezing a gal's breasts.

I'm quite impressed that the police put in the amount of work required to get this guy. It must have been hundreds or hours of videos from different cameras that they had to go through to try and get a clearer picture of this, and then they actually had to figure out who it was. Especially since, at the end of the day, it was a just a common assault case.

On the other other hand, the levels of surveillance these days are a bit disconcerting This and other similar cases shows that, if someone is willing to try, they can track your movements going back over several months.

If there is no punishment there is no hope to weed them ...

A weed is merely a plant that's growing in the wrong place. Unfortunately Japanese society IS THE PLACE for these creeps. They're everywhere!!

We just need to let everyone know...

How do we know it was a" CSI" type and not a "cold case" dug up after numerous complaints?

"seen... various times, walking behind girls as they shopped"

I would love to know the original Japanese word they used instead of "various" :-D

I didn't know that something line this could happen in a country line Japan. Here in Brasil this is common.

@Wc626 No. It takes time to identify the random people in the videos. Do you think the police know everybody on sight?

That said, I have no idea how they identified him at all.
