OSAKA —
Police served a fresh arrest warrant on a 37-year-old man Saturday on suspicion of attacking a taxi driver in January in Matsubara, Osaka Prefecture, in an attempted murder-robbery case, police officials said. Police suspect the man, Shotetsu An, may have a hand in the murder-robbery of another taxi driver last December in Higashiosaka, Osaka Prefecture, according to investigative sources.
An has debts and may have attacked the taxi drivers to steal money, the sources said. An, who has been indicted on a charge of a separate robbery, is suspected of stealing about 25,000 yen from taxi driver Toshiki Nozawa, 61, and slashing the victim’s neck to cause heavy injuries in early hours of Jan 5 in a taxi in Matsubara.

How many warrants did police issue altogether. They sai:...fresh arrest warrant... Wouldn't be better to investigate the case promptly and issue one warrant to close case for cops? Is he also unemployed???
