Police in Shiraoi, Hokkaido, said Friday they have arrested an unemployed 36-year-old man on suspicion of fatally stabbing his 64-year-old father at their home.

According to police, the suspect, identified as Takanori Yoshida, stabbed his father Ryoshi several times in the chest with a survival knife at around 8 p.m. Thursday and then called 119, NTV reported. Ryoshi was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Yoshida was quoted by police as saying he had been quarreling with his father and lost his temper.

He lived with his father and mother who was out at the time, police said.

At 36, he's unemployed and living with his parents. That already spells loser, now this.

Lack of anger management skills meets father and son testosterone = trouble.

A son is expected to protect his father and mother in their old age and not to stab them. It is a very abhorrent incident .Japan must think seriously to free its society from occurrence of such violent incidents.

And, here is another family murder. How many is that this week? 5 or 6? All with the same excuse. When will Japan wake up and realise there is a large percentage of the population with anger management issues and living on the edge of insanity?

When will Japan wake up and realise there is a large percentage of the population with anger management issues and living on the edge of insanity?

And what would that percentage be? Let's see some numbers to back up your hypothesis.

It's one thing to have a major disagreement with one's parents, but quite another to resort to such violence.

Speaking of which, why has there yet been no mention of the yakuza shooting in Fujisawa?
