Man arrested for filming up high school girl's skirt on escalator in Saitama

A 23-year-old man was arrested on Monday night for filming up a 17-year-old high school girl’s skirt with a digital video camera on an escalator at Asaka Station in Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture.

Takahiro Wada, 23, who works in the editorial department of a Saitama newspaper, was arrested on the spot at 4 p.m. by a patrolling police officer who spotted him aiming his camera up the girl’s skirt. The camera was protruding out of the man’s bag.

Wada has admitted to the allegations and told police he has filmed up girls’ skirts many times.

That would be great. Unfortunately though, unless you actually kill someone, you probably won't get any jail time in Japan. Well, unless you're foreigner, then you're going away for a long time, before they boot you out of the country.

Actually, I think respect is their problem. If they acted a little more like the womanizers who truly have no respect for women, they could get past those personal boundaries with some measure of permission, and would not need to resort to this bottom scraping. Such as it is, they respect women so much they cannot even bring themselves to talk to one sensibly.

They need to be taught to have "game", a class that is sorely needed in Japan.

what sick small mind does this kind of thing? as a woman, i have always and will always wear slacks in japan. it really gives me the creeps. sometimes i find it hard to look at my male co-workers and not wonder.....as there are so many of these people here.

I'm sure that not long ago, there was someone like him trying to be under-skirt-producer. I can't recollect his sentence, but something is telling me that only fine was imposed on him. Takahiro Wada even admitted that he was doing this many times, what an idiot he is. He certainly need a shrink to adjust his video camera. Is Japan short of film producers?

What he did is not right but women shouldn't walk around in public with their butts hanging out. I wonder if the arresting cop was getting an eyeful.

I suspect the only reason cavemen didn't film up wooly mammoth skirts was because they didn't have camera.
