Man arrested for killing father with golf club in Toyama

A man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of beating his father to death with a golf club Saturday night.

Police said Kazunobu Sugata, a 35 year-old fisherman and resident of Himi City, came home after drinking Saturday night and is suspected of killing his 61-year-old father, Yasunobu, with the golf club. Yasunobu’s wife found her husband dead Sunday morning.

According to police, Sugata said: “My father was sick and I was taking care of him, but he never listened to me, so I hit him. It’s true I hit him with the golf club, but I was drunk and I don’t remember if I intended to kill him.”

What???? Why is it still legal to own these dangerous and lethal club weapons? Why haven't they outlawed the ownership and possession of these terrible weapons? Why didn't he just tell the truth and say, "Look, taking care of my father was a pain and required responsibility. I am a selfish, irrespnsible, big baby, and had to get juiced up to be a tough guy. I hate golf, and now I hate this killer also. Now i know why Japanese like Yakyuu and Gorufu so much, very handy when you don't want to take care of your father, who raised you, gave you money and a house to live in.
