Deto is a moron. Making jokes about bombs has been illegal in the US since the hijackings of the 70s and I suspect such 'jokes' are considered ill-mannered here in safety Japan but to actually announce that you have a bomb in your suitcase ... was he hoping for a reward or extra beer on the flight?
Perfect description by borscht. Considering the fact that airports, etc., are currently crawling with police, who in their right mind would try and pull this sort of stunt. Fine him into bankruptcy and lock him up for the term of his natural life.
Terrorist: An individual who uses violence, terror, and intimidation to achieve a result. Deto seems to have done more that just "obstructing business by force". I hope the police are simply holding him on this minor charge until they acquire evidence needed to charge him with terrorism.
I wonder if he is the same guy who made a disturbance on a train to chitose airport yesterday. There was a small dog that kept yapping away and he caused a scene at the train station even tho about a dozen officers were around him trying to calm him down...he definitely wasn't intimidated by them.
When I run into some foreigner that's boorish, seemingly unappreciative of their American visit, I offer that 'security' enjoys good jokes about laptop or stored luggage bombs.
Usually, they don't fall for it. On other occasions, I've seen them miss their flights.
Is that how I got that extra space to put up an arm-rest and sleep? I dunno.
