Man arrested for molesting woman on limousine bus ride to Narita

Police said Sunday they have arrested a 21-year-old man for molesting a 17-year-old girl during a limousine bus ride from Tokyo Station to Narita airport.

According to police, the incident occurred early Saturday morning. TBS reported that the bus left Tokyo Station at 3 a.m. bound for Narita.

The suspect, identified as Hirohito Hokatsu, a company employee from Fukuoka Prefecture, allegedly touched the girl who was sleeping on the seat two rows behind him. The girl woke up and then Hokatsu started to urinate on the girl's seat, police said.

Hokatsu was quoted by police as saying he was drunk and didn't remember any of the incident. He said he had been out drinking with friends all night up until he boarded the bus.

The girl was on her way to the airport to greet an American singer arriving later Saturday.

What a piece of work.

Are they still in Japan? Just wondering if they were going out of the country or going to Narita to work. If she was flying out then she would have to cancel or was she able to take a shower and change her clothes at Narita? Did he board his flight?

He peed on her seat after molesting her? Very warped behavior.

I agree with DenTok2009 - not nearly enough details in this story... Weird behaviour indeed. Hope the young lady won't be too traumatized by this "incident" (I know I would be !)

@DenTok2009: It said he peed on her seat and did not mention he peed on her. And I am sure he did not make his flight given the circumstances.

Why is the awkward term "company employee" always used? Most people probably assume he has a job, especially since the opposite is always pointed out. He is also unlikely to be an employee for very much longer so it's nearly completely irrelevant.

Put yourself into the role of the girl for a moment: looking forward to meet her idol at the airport. Then some drunk, perv appears, molests her, and pees on her seat! .... Weekend properly spoiled!

@JA_Cruise Where was she while he peed on her seat? Sitting on the seat next to her? Perhaps she was standing in the aisle? I'm thinking she was sleeping then became aware of a hand on her body and kind of shrank in her seat or may be she did bolt. Ugh. I hope she did. Ick. Also, the article does say the incident happened on Saturday and on Sunday he was arrested. Well, that's the way it's worded. Could be the J-cops made an announcement that the previous day they arrested the man. Or he made it back to Fukuoka and the police there arrested him yesterday.

What is a 17-year-old girl doing on a bus by herself at 3AM?

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

"no memory of what happened"

Yeah yeah... throw the book at him!

He doesn't remember because he was drunk ?; Oh, well, it's o.k. then.

@dctokyo2002

What is a 17-year-old girl doing on a bus by herself at 3AM?

I don't know but maybe she was joining her parents somewhere ? Anyway, I used rto travel alone (from the UK to my school Switzerland) from the age of 12... and that was a LOOOONG time ago ! The young these days ar even more precocious...

Hokatsu was quoted by police as saying he was drunk and didn’t remember any of the incident

There ya go son! That's the way to get away with crime in Japan! Deny and claim no recollection due to a drinking binge...works like a charm! Idiot!

Nature called in more than one way. The urge to get more familiar with the opposite sex... and urination. At the same time is a bit nutty.

What is a 17-year-old girl doing on a bus by herself at 3AM?<

(Mods, is there any way you could improve the site's quote functions like making quotes more visible?)

What she's doing out is not relevant. She has the right to go about her business uninterrupted by oddballs like this suspect.

In Japan, your affiliation with groups of any sort come under scrutiny in the event of an incident. If you're employed, your employer takes some degree or responsibility, however small, for having the poor judgement to hire someone who's behavior falls outside the social norm. In the Japanese version of many, if not most, articles like this, who you work for becomes as much a part of the story as what you did. Just the way it is here.

Hurrah.... we got the 'get out of jail free' line.

On a more serious note, this scumbag needs to be dropped down a flight or two of metal stairs. Pervs just disgust me.

Good thing he remembered to say he was drunk, just in the nick of time!! Otherwise he might've actually got a slap on the wrist for what he did.

Now he can go back to being employed by his company.

The girl was 2 seats behind him so he would have had to get up and walk over to her. Wouldn't the bus driver notice something suspicious before he did all of this?

Did she get to greet the American singer?

disgusting i will sue this @ss ...
