Man arrested for robbing two Tokyo convenience stores

Police in Tokyo have arrested a man for robbing two convenience stores in Katsushika Ward.

According to police, Takumi Akimoto, 34, was charged for robbing a convenience store of 70,000 yen on March 22 after threatening an employee with a knife, TV Asahi reported. Police said Akimoto has also confessed to robbing another convenience store in the same ward of 95,000 yen in February.

Police said they are questioning Akimoto over other convenience store robberies as well.
