Police in Tochigi have arrested a 46-year-old unemployed man on suspicion of throwing a rock at a truck on the Tohoku Expressway. Police said they suspect the man of throwing rocks at vehicles on the expressway on nearly 50 occasions.
According to police, Waichi Nakayama parked his car on a side road running parallel to the Tohoku Expressway in Utsunomiya at around 7 p.m. on June 15 and started throwing rocks, Fuji TV reported. One of the rocks broke the windshield of a large truck.
Police said they received reports of similar damage from the drivers of about 30 vehicles from early evening on June 15 until dawn the next day. Furthermore, police said 17 similar cases were reported on Friday night for about 45 minutes from 11:20 p.m.
A police patrol picked up Nakayama sitting in his car at a nearby parking lot early Saturday morning after a witness had noted the license plate of a suspicious car near the expressway. Several rocks were found in his car.
Police said Nakayama has admitted involvement in all of the cases. He was quoted as saying he was stressed out at having been jobless since February and wanted to blow off steam.

Pathetic excuse of a man, he could of killed someone. Surely there are better ways to blow of steam which dont involve such dangerous acts. Reminds me of the JT report a week ago about some 16 year old throwing 2ltr pet bottles out of an apartment window and hitting a woman pushing her baby. Sad!

Same kind of thing happens in L.A. too and people have had large accidents. This is nothing minor, he deserves jail time.

Life is more precious than property. But, damm!! That would suck if he hit a nice luxury vehicle, people really work hard to drive those and take much pride in the bragging rights.

There's a lot better ways to blow off steam. Maybe go to the park, go workout, anything else is better than throwing rocks at cars.

This is a major crime. My neighbor in the states had something similar happen and went for many facial reconstruction surgeries.
