Man arrested over convenience store robbery

TOKYO —

Police said Sunday they have arrested a 35-year-old unemployed man for robbing a convenience store in Tokyo’s Adachi Ward on Friday.

According to police, the suspect, identified as Norio Fukaiya, entered a convenience store at 6:30 p.m. and threatened the clerk with a knife and demanded money.

Sankei Shimbun reported that the suspect fled with 45,000 yen. However, a store employee noted the number of his motorbike and notified police.

Police said they are questioning Fukaiya about his involvement in two other convenience store robberies in the same area in December.

Well thanx to him planning his actions out with little though on escaping with the loot he grabbed he is caught. Really funny he'd use his own motorcycle to do this. Is it my imagination or is crime rising in the land of the rising sun ??
