I wonder what possible flu symptoms he was showing. Being totally pale-blue in the face, perhaps...

Influenza-phobia. It's got people on the run!

Maybe they were puches on Tamiflu - "You can never be too careful!"

Why doesn't this article tell such important information as what type of drugs they were? And I wouldn't be so quick to criticize this person; if you want to learn more about some victims of drug smuggling, do some research on "mules."

Why he couldn't make 100 pouches? Perhaps he will have record in the world as the biggest 'Drug Mule.' They even 'closed the clinic' for that scumbag. How did he board the plane without being detected in the Hong Kong airport? Did they just let him go? If he didn't collapse he will perhaps he will make very happy distributors in Japan. He was stupid, he should use 'Bra' even if he is a man, and last week 20-years-old Malaysian woman was apprehended in Melbourne having white powder in her 'Bra.'

The authorities don't care. All they care about is there fingerprints collection to play with.

what was he doing for 2 hours

Probably swallowing pouches. I doubt he swallowed them before he boarded. I imagine he took them on in hand baggage (not much inspection when boarding, just x-ray). Then he arrives, goes into a bathroom and chows down on little bags.

You just have to google a little to find out how it works. They completely empty their stomachs before swallowing the small bags of drugs, usually condoms, and as much as they can get in, they will come out naturally from the other end. Of course that has to be done in advance because if you can get into the plane carrying such amount of drugs then why bother swallowing it.

I wonder if they are allowed to eat in the plane. Wouldn't it be suspicious that someone does not want to eat or drink at all in a long flight?

Disillusioned: there's more than 2 million confirmed addicts in Japan. Just google for the various sources, they are very close to each other.

This doesnt include the mom and pop users below the radar, or the homegrowns that havent been caught yet. I would estimate closer to 10 million.

So when mom and pop say they're going off to the pachinko parlor or 'fishing', they're really at the crackhouse?

he's lucky to be alive, however i have no sympathy for him. may G.O.D. have mercy on his soul because, the ministry of justice will not. rotting in j-prison however, is much better than rotting in a an HK/Taiwanese one.

    Great insight there!

Oh I feel so sorry for him. Really I hope he pays for his attempt at making a few bucks illegally. Even if he has to pay with his life. After all some countries have a death penalty for people like this so who'd miss a drug smuggler? Not many except the yaks who send you with the drugs. Odd how so many support crimes on this board.

... detailed examinations showed he was suffering from drug poisoning after having swallowed about 90 pouches with drugs in them, the sources said.

    Criminals are funny.

wouldn't it be easier to just 'store' them up in your behind instead of going through the trouble of swallowing them and praying they don't burst inside? i.e. Mary Full of Grace (the movie)
