TOKYO —

The suspect, who has been identified as Shiro Bando, was arrested for allegedly dumping the dead body of his 51-year-old wife, Hiromi, in the Oyoko River in Kiba, Koto Ward, on Sept 14, Fuji TV reported. They always charge a murder suspect with abandoning the corpse first, it's easier to prove and allows them to incarcerate the suspect. Murder charges come later after they've had a chance to build their case.

If only the wife had known this before they got married... no one deserves this. Hope the man gets what he deserves.

I can't believe after all Japan has been through that cherishing your loved ones and people is something that some people still can't grasp.

was there an autopsy? They should've been able know if it was murder before they found the man. They love waiting to last min to put that "murder" up there to keep them numbers down.
