I was thinking the same thing. I thought tongs were basically round at the end and not sharp at all. Must have really shoved them in there.

No, it's not. Pasadena is one of the more affluent parts of Southern California. Although I suppose bad DNA is aplenty in the US overall in general.

Another report suggests she was stabbed and beaten. A pair of salad tongs was found nearby. Perhaps he used a different utensil for the stabbing perhaps the meat skewer?

This makes me sad. :( I'm a Western guy with a Japanese girlfriend studying here and would NEVER harm a hair on her or let anyone else. I'm almost a foot and a half taller than her and weight more than double her - and for the most part nearly all her friends. So sad...

Pigman is psychotic and was on drugs at the time of the murder according to the trial. The gal was too timid or not smart enough to distance herself from him, it seems. But then again, she - being Japanese - knows drugs are illegal and for her to be involved with someone using it was ill-advised.
