WOW! What a surprise!

"every other car on the road here ( NZ ) has a sticker showing that it was originally sold by a dealership somewhere in Japan"
That's messed up, zaichik.

Here's finally a REAL case for these bozo cops to work on... But take a wild guess what they're chances or catching these guys is...
ZERO % chance, unless they turn themselves in...
Sounds like Yakuza, but a little bit more violent than we're use to hearing about... Probably because they know the clown cops won't lift a finger because it wasn't a Japanese person killed...
tokyocrawler at 03:00 PM JST - 4th May
I guess he had to show his passports for ID when doing any dodgy street deal in Japan...hehe..just like NTTDocomo..you gotta have alien card and passport ID these days for anything!
btw the chances of this guy being New Zealander that spent years in Iran to get an Iranian passport are what i wonder???....and besides everyone knows Kiwis never carry that much cash! they're always bludging beers and cigarettes!

This sounds awful, the poor chap. Why make it look like he's a baddy by bring up he had cash and 2 passports, maybe he was entitled to them.
Strange there were not any witnesses. Crimesd against foreigners seem to be treated poorly by Japans police. So sad.

Unfortunately very true... If this guy was a Japanese person, I would even go so far to say, if it was a military person, the JN cops would be all over it.... Not that they would be able to solve it... But them Yakuza would have turned somebody in, just to get the clown cops off their back...
Unfortunately this guy was probably just some unlucky sap that chose to have some road-rage with the wrong people... I very seriously doubt the "Conspiracy" theorist about some Double agent / Drug runner BS....
Just some guy with a bad temper, (or not enough common sense to just let it go...) thought he was 100% safe, as most JN's do... But unfortunately for him.... he wasn't ready to mess with the big dogs....

Nagoya sounds like a pretty tough town. If this guy that got killed was Iranian, I am sure, his friends will find out who in Nagoya did it and track them down, forget about the J police. Iranians know how to hunt down their enemies.

Yawn. Must have read that piece of crap editorial from some activist up North.
The reality is just the opposite. Too much effort and needless attention is being placed on foreign victims.
The FACT that it's even being translated by Kyodo saids a lot.
ANOTSUSAGAMI at 10:56 PM JST - 4th May
If the guy had dual citizenship, he would be able to legally have 2 passports. My friend lives in Holland now and was granted special permission while in the States to have dual citizenship of the US and Taiwan. She legally has 2 passports.
usaexpat at 11:05 PM JST - 4th May
Hmmm.... Nagoya = Yakuza
TokyoHustla at 06:34 AM JST - 5th May
techall - just because both countries allow dual citizenship does not make it any less suspicious.
billabong031 at 06:32 PM JST - 5th May
How do you know what colour his skin is Dailybread?
arashikage at 07:14 AM JST - 6th May
billabong031,
Don't bring up irrelevant points. His skin colour is not relevant.
I have to agree with TokyoHustla and others - having two passports is suspicious.
Crimsonsil at 02:02 PM JST - 6th May
"...this guy's death is probably good for Japan."
Wow....just wow.
Ultradude at 03:55 PM JST - 10th May
You don't need "special permission" to have dual citizenship. If you are granted citizenship from 2 countries by birth, parentage, etc - bingo, you have dual citizenship.
