Man, held after wild car chase, charged with killing wife in Chiba

CHIBA —

Police on Thursday arrested a man for beating his wife to death in Kujukuri, Chiba Prefecture, on April 22. He had already been arrested for abandoning her body in his car after he was chased by police. The car crashed and burst into flames.

Masanori Kochi, 34, was arrested for allegedly beating his wife Ikuko, 28, to death inside his car at a car park in Kujukuri around 11 p.m. on April 22. On April 24, police called on the suspect to question him about his wife, who had been reported missing by relatives. Kochi fled with police in pursuit, but he crashed into the side of a house.

Police said Kochi had been using illegal drugs daily before killing his wife. Police believe the victim has been beaten by the suspect on a daily basis.

More loonies on the loose in safety Japan ! God what a messed up society this has become. Murdering a family member seems to be in vogue these past 2-3 years. Umm, can we get some marriage and family counselors over here in Japan ? They all at each other's throats... literally !
