Although this surely is s creep, arrested for the act of taking photographs is BS. Surely there must be other paragraphs to pin this under? Harassment? Photography in itself can not be incriminating. Also, how come are these fools are always "quoted" as uttering self-incriminating "statements"? And how come the police ALWAYS suspect the perp is guilty of MANY more similar occurances, yet have not done squat to PREVENT these occuances. Smells like made up "truthts"....

I am not defending this guy, but I don´t quite get the article. He gets "young girl’s breasts through a gap in her clothes"... what is that even supposed to mean? Since when do young girls even have breast? And what gaps in clothing? I am confused. And all this happened on public transport, so are really talking about "child porn"? Bad behaviour, violation of privacy, I guess so, but somehow I had thought that "child porn" is more sinister than some idiot taking photos in train. What am I missing?

Exactly. A lot of these AKB, SKE, NMB girls are underage and they are releasing photo books of themselves prancing around in bikinis. What is that considered?

While I don't care to know this man's obsessions, Clearly he is a victim in this case. As is this girl he has taken photos of. I think perhaps he can be charged with harassment but child pornography? I don't see how he is guilty of that crime? Was she naked and performing sexual acts on this public train while he captured media of her??

Anyone who takes away the INNOCENCE of a child is wrong. A childhood should be filled with love, caring, respect, and above all; INNOCENCE.

Adults should act like ADULTS. An adult does not pose a child in a provocative way to be photographed. An adult does not do anything sexual with a child.

An adult does not confuse a child about what love is. This also applies to sons, daughters, stepsons, stepdaughters, nieces, nephews, grandsons, granddaughters, or ANY child. {A child (also called a minor) is anyone under 18 years old}.

Photographing or videotaping any minor being sexual VIOLATES that minor and produces "CHILD ABUSE IMAGERY" (formerly known as child porn). - "Child abuse imagery" is evidence of a CRIME. VIEWING the crime is a CRIME. And viewing the crime RE-violates that child. And SHARING the crime is a CRIME. And SHARING the crime RE-violates that child. Even VIEWING a "sexual selfie" of a minor is a CRIME. (photos AND videos) And viewing the crime RE-violates that child. And SHARING the crime is a CRIME. And SHARING the crime RE-violates that child.

You DON'T have the RIGHT to violate the privacy, chastity, and dignity of a child.

I am old and wise. I am retired and a philanthropist. I hope and pray to reach the conscience of the pedophile out there. Maybe I can prevent a child from being exploited or even sexually assaulted today. I wrote this methodized and perspicuous comment about curime because I am taking different things that people in law enforcement have said about this scourge, and I am using my English degree to spell it out from beginning to end, so those few bad apples can read it. If I can save one child, I have done a good deed. :-)

Skimming through these comments I see two camps. Those who recognize this for what it is - a man acting in a predatory fashion against a young girl, and those who don't recognize this. Bending/interpreting/inquiring into law and wording as to what degree what he did was or was not criminal is beside the point.

Truly amazing that people like you jump on the CP-bandwagon as soon as something is out of your reach. Was what he did wrong? Probably. Was inappropriate. Definitely. But CP? Sure, he's a perv walking around taking pictures of young girls, but legally, I dor one want clear definitions and not some vague "stone all them heathens"-mentality. That belings in the past. If this guy should be locked up, he should be so by rule of law and not by arbitrary opinions of the day or laws "interperted"... Japan is already paranoid when it comes to snapping photos and does not need to up the ante there.

These kind of laws are stupid; its ridiculous give that importance to these trifles

I guess your fine with those as well, just a "bit creepy" or something...............sorry man what this guy is doing is VERY wrong, very simple to see that, those making excuses, saying its not a big deal...............I think need tore-examine their logic!
