Man kills coworker; makes it look like car accident
HYOGO —
A 28-year-old man was arrested on Saturday night over the death of his colleague in Miki city, Hyogo Prefecture, police said Sunday. Police allege that Noriyoshi Okada, 28, beat Katsu Morimoto, 66, to death, then put his body into a car and caused it to get in an accident.
At about 7 p.m., police received a call that a car had rolled over. In the back seat they found Morimoto, in cardiac arrest with blood pouring down his face. He was confirmed dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.
Okada had been driving the car and, under police questioning, admitted he had caused the accident to cover up his assault on Morimoto. He was quoted as saying: “We got into an argument over something at work, and I punched him a few times.”
The two worked together at a landscaping company.

Mittsu:
No. It was not ingenious.
It was stupid & not thought through. If the suspect wanted it to look like a car accident the victim should not have been found in the back seat but in the front seat.

Gardening business can be rough sometimes. What topics those guys argue? Which tree they would plant? Or which bonsai is better?

A 28-year old punching out a 66-year old? Geez, both were sauced to the gilt or what?

How messed up in the head do you have to be to punch a 66 year-old man?

rutares - ask the 28 year old! ;)
gotta agree with yukisnowflake. he should have thought it through a bit more. Then again, I'm sure he was pretty nervous and jittery. I get that way every time I take out anyone over 60 years old.

Guess he didn't do a very good job of staging the accident. But if he was stupid enough to resort to violence against a guy that old I imagine he was dumb enough to get caught.

Wonder if he really did what he admitted to, or if this is just another one of those "confessions" that the J-Cops are famous for???
